Cycle past the hilltop towns of this undiscovered corner of Europe, then cool off with a refreshing swim in the Adriatic.
Due to the huge success of our Cycling the Dalmatian Coast trip, we are excited to introduce a new tougher road itinerary in northern Croatia. The peaceful peninsula of Istria was historically part of the Venetian Empire. It is a land of diverse scenery with rolling hills, pine forests, wheat fields, vineyards, olive groves and of course a sparkling azure coastline. Our challenging route makes the most of this lush region as we cover long distances each day, winding our way between dramatic hilltop communities. Cycling along the coast itself we hop across to the beautiful islands of Cres, with its rare bird species and Krk, the closest island to Central Europe. A refreshing swim in the Adriatic here is the perfect reward for a long day in the saddle. The trips are led by Vlado Fumic, our own Croatian Olympic cycle veteran.

Australia Ride Stage 6 - Broome to Coral Bay
Type: Guided Cycling Tours
Category: Road
Package:15 days
Ad ID: 14612
We organise everything that you will need for the duration of this 15 day tour, including accommodation or camping, food, safety and support vehicles, bike mechanic and much more.
Imagine waking up in the early daylight and looking around from a comfortable room or your tent knowing that all that the day asks of you is to jump on your bike and experience some of Australia's most remarkable regions.
The food breaks, morning tea, lunch and afternoon snack are all at set times enabling all riders to plan their day and the amount of time required to enjoy the sights and any attractions along the way. Lunch is a great time to relax, refuel your body and chat to your friends, be it in a bakery, a country pub, next to a river or looking out from an ancient mountain range onto the outback. Cyclists can move off in their own time and pace, having been informed of the distance and terrain ahead and aiming to arrive at the overnight stop early to mid afternoon.
Check in or set up your tent then have a cuppa and a snack. Explore the surroundings, go for a walk, share a cool drink with friends or simply relax.
At 6 pm there is a briefing for all cyclists. It is always interesting finding out what happened during the day, sharing some laughs then talking through the sights and special attractions to look out for the next day. Then there are more laughs and stories to be shared as we settle down to a good healthy meal and a few drinks. Bedtime is not far away, where you can put your head down remembering the day and dreaming of tomorrow.
The camaraderie and memories made on a bike ride like this lasts a lifetime.

Crossing the 11,000ft Cerro de la Muerte pass into the Orosi Valley we cycle past coffee plantations and volcanoes to arrive on the fertile Caribbean plains where huge banana plantations cover the landscape. We will learn how the banana industry has shaped Costa Rica before continuing on to Tortuguero to explore the wildlife-rich rivers and waterways of this famous national park. Cycle Angkor to Saigon
Type: Guided Cycling Tours
Category: Touring
Package:16 days

The temples of Angkor arouse images of ancient kingdoms, temples hidden by jungle and the mystery of the rise and fall of civilizations. Justified in their fame, the Angkor temples in Cambodia have become a must see destination.
There is however, so much more to Cambodia than temples. Friendly people, great hospitality, picturesque countryside, vibrant cities and relaxing beaches are some other great reasons to come and see this country by bike.
We cross to Vietnam and after some time at the truly beautiful Phu Quoc Island, we cycle through the fascinating Mekong Delta, where the activity never stops and the leafy canal lanes provide some of the best cycling in the country.

Cycling in Cambodia, Thailand & VietnamRide between Bangkok, Saigon and the Mekong DeltaVisit the ancient temples of Angkor Wat.
This journey takes us across three countries in South East Asia with contrasting histories and subtly different cultures. From the busy streets of Bangkok we head straight for the rolling limestone hills of Thailand's largest National Park, Khao Yai.We continue cycling in Cambodia, passing through shimmering paddy fields to Angkor, the magnificent temple complex at the centre of the former Khmer Empire and one of the world's great historic sites. We reach Phnom Penh, where we encounter stark reminders of Cambodia's more recent past.Arriving in Vietnam, we enter the Mekong Delta, a criss-crossed patchwork of rice paddies and waterways, the so-called 'rice bowl of Vietnam'. We complete our bike holiday in the vibrant city of Saigon where the frenetic pace contrasts with some of the rural areas we have cycled through.

A Mediterranean biking adventure in spectacular surroundings.
An excellent introduction to mountain biking or a relaxing break for the more experienced rider, southern Turkey offers some fantastically varied riding in changing surroundings. Every day has a downhill bias, with 1000m or more of descent: vehicle support to take us up to the start of the day's riding, and all with a stunning backdrop of mountains, canyons, cedar forests and the ruins of ancient civilizations. En route we have lots of time for impromptu picnics and swimming stops, and the chance to experience the famous hospitality of Turkish village life. Our last four nights are based in the lively port town of Kas, our base for great evening entertainment. Kas is comparatively unspoilt, with locally-run restaurants and bars along the marina and side streets extending in towards the town square. With a free day, adrenaline junkies can finish the week with optional paragliding, scuba diving, or sea kayaking. Alternatively, simply relax in the sun on one of the nearby Mediterranean beaches.
